Every insight starts with computation — more than 230 structured factors per person: natal placements, houses, aspects, essential dignities, the current sky, timing techniques, midpoints, Sabian symbols, and relocation shifts — calculated from astronomical ephemeris data using NASA JPL's DE442. Western tradition throughout: the Tropical zodiac with Placidus houses for natal work, Regiomontanus for horary. The AI interprets the chart — it never does the astronomy itself. From three inputs: your birth date, exact time, and place. Shymea resolves the place to coordinates, computes the position of the Sun, Moon, and 8 planets with the Skyfield library on JPL DE-series ephemeris data, then divides the sky into 12 Placidus houses measured from your Ascendant. The result: 10 bodies across 12 signs and 12 houses, plus the major aspects between them.

Planetary positions are computed with the Skyfield astronomy library using the JPL DE442 ephemeris (NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory), cast against your exact birth date, time, and place. Shymea works in the Western tradition — the Tropical zodiac with Placidus houses (Regiomontanus houses for judged horary questions). Calculated first, interpreted second.
You can still get a meaningful chart. Many placements don't depend on the exact minute; the houses and Rising sign do. If you're unsure, you can use an approximate time (noon is a common default) and refine it later — we explain this right on the form.
